To choose the perfect name, whether you aim to play as a badass, a merchant, a warrior, or a thief, first you must understand a little about the Khajiit.

The Khajiit – A (Very) Brief Outline

The Khajiit are intelligent and agile, cat-like people. They are excellent acrobats, make great thieves, and hold their own as incredible warriors.

They are an ancient race, native to Elsweyr from before the first Mer or Men alighted on Tamriel.

The difference in Khajiit anatomy from the other races of Tamriel has sadly led to racial discrimination, which hasn’t been helped by the thievery and drug addictions that many succumb to.

Khajiit Naming Conventions

A Khajiit usually adds an honorific to their name – more commonly males than females – which is generally ascribed to their age, social status, and skills/talents.

Some choose to fly under the radar and leave themselves ambiguously without an honorific.

Khajiit Honorifics

Khajiit names often contain a prefix or suffix, known as an honorific. It is a title like Dr., Mr, Mrs., etc, except it gives more detail.

Some are given as feminine or masculine, but you can see both male and female NPC’s with most of them throughout the Elder Scrolls universe. It is more common to find a male with an honorific than a female.

A Khajiit generally uses just one honorific at a time. To use more is considered either prideful or ignorant.

To choose, or not choose, an honorific: Roll the dice – 1=Yes, 2=No. If you get a yes, roll again from 1 to 10 and identify the randomly selected honorific.

Female Khajiit Names

Male and Female Khajiit in Hallway
There is something ultimately feminine about a feline character, perhaps from the graceful way they move, or their softness.

Whatever the reason, don’t mistake their grace and softness for weakness, for it is in these traits that the female Khajiit carry their strength.

Pick a random number between 1 and 200, or just read through the female Khajiit names to choose from. If you wish, you may choose and add a last name.
